THIS IS MY STORY.
It all started back in 2011. I wanted to try photography as a fun hobby, but quickly realized how passionate I was about the artistic aspect of it. It’s pure love for the art that pushed me into bettering my skillset little by little. Some nights I would spend endless hours on forums learning how to master all the camera settings. This was key because the camera became an extension of my mind. I’ve always enjoyed cinema growing up, instead of only watching for the plot, I would study how they framed & color graded shots. It fascinated me & it helped develop my own style through the years. I like to think of still images as a frozen moment that will live forever. A time capsule if you will.
Within one year, I got offered my first gig. I became a resident photographer for some of the best night clubs in Washington DC. A couple months in, a tour manager for a famous DJ got my contact info & I was offered to shoot a mini tour of all their gigs during WMC/Ultra week in Miami, FL. This led to being offered a year-round tour around North America, Mexico, & Canada. I picked up cinematography because every tour stop, I was in charge of filming footage that would later be compiled for a documentary. My first major film project got premiered at Tribeca Film Festival. I would then go to spend the better part of a decade working with some of the biggest names in the electronic music industry.
I became a regular contributor to Resident Advisor, BPM magazine, MixMag, DJ Mag, Billboard & Rolling Stone. The DJ’s I grew up listening to on vinyl were now my clients & I never once imagined that I’d be working for them. It was a full circle moment for me. Gaining the attention from music labels, festivals, & iconic clubs; I had a nice selection of clients throughout the year to keep me busy. Later in my career I worked for Sennheiser & was in charge of shooting their sponsored artists.
Eventually I moved across the USA to Los Angeles, CA. I’ve always dreamed of living in California, so I figured with all the money I saved, it was now or never. I took a break from touring & switched to luxury retail, managing The Gallery by Round 2. It was appointment-only with mainly high end clients, stylists, & artists. This is where I was able to network & meet some of my favorite artists in the hip hop industry. As a passion project, I started shooting faces within a niche circle. I wanted to compile a special curation of my time here in LA. It was a fun project because it was a creative outlet for me, without the constant traveling.
Fast forward to 2025, I’m looking to go full force & excited to see what the year brings. Looking to take on new projects & branch out.
